Job Summary: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via the utilization of the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, financial and human resources within the philosophy of the institution.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Illinois state RN License in good standing.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Additional Information:

• Floats to various inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs (if applicable).
• Completes Unit Nurse Leader Training, as needed.
• Provides direct nursing care and collaborates with other multidisciplinary team members to provide patient care to various patient populations.
• Conducts and documents assessments, nursing diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.
• Precepts staff from various units as needed.
• Coordinates care with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate and provide the highest possible quality patient care.
