American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Advanced Care/EMU unit requiring IL licensure, EMU seizure monitoring experience, and Epic charting proficiency.

• Work in the Advanced Care/EMU unit of a hospital setting
• Monitors EMU patients 24/7 for seizure activity
• Collaborates with critical care team and hospitalists for Advanced Care patients
• 12-hour shifts, , 3 days per week
• Weekend requirement of 5 shifts within a 6-week schedule period
• Every other holiday coverage required
• Uses Epic for charting

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

• Completes initial patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care
• Utilizes hourly rounding, bedside shift report, and whiteboards to ensure communication with patients and families
• Responsible for identifying and correcting safety hazards for patients and staff
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not be on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning
