The Illinois State Archaeological Survey (ISAS) within the Prairie Research Institute seeks an Assistant Research Scientist, Lithic Archaeology to lead lithic analysis of precontact materials from ISAS excavation projects. You will supervise staff and contribute to reports and guidelines, applying pXRF and PIMA as appropriate. The role is 100% full-time, based in Urbana, IL.
Minimum qualifications include a Master's in archaeology and 3+ years in lithic analysis; a Ph.D. is preferred.
