Paris, IL
Salary: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 (Full-time)

Job Purpose: Provides timely, accurate, and friendly customer service. Greases sales through repeat customers, increases sales, and enhances profitability. Makes informed suggestions for food and beverages. Delivers ordered items, maintains dining room cleanliness, and processes payment promptly. Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment.
Responsibilities- Demonstrates outstanding hospitality and service throughout each shift with customers, managers, and team members.
- Shows teamwork.
- Take food and beverage orders from customers.
- Accepts customer payments and processes them quickly and accurately in accordance with Flat Top Grill cash handling policies.
- Follows company cash handling policies and procedures.
- Completes opening, shift, and closing duties.
- Prepares non‑alcoholic beverages for dining room customers.
- Delivers food and beverages to customers in a timely manner.
- Suggestively upsells when appropriate.
- Follows all sanitation and safety policies.
- Maintains the server station ensuring stocking throughout the shift.
- Ensures table maintenance throughout the dining experience.
- Fills in as needed to ensure a smooth experience for customers and team members.
- Maintains a safe working environment and reports any safety issues immediately.
- Maintains valid state and local food handlers and alcohol certifications.
- Adheres to all Flat Top Grill policies and procedures.
- Advises the Restaurant Manager/General Manager/Regional Director of any non‑routine situations.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- Motivated with high energy level.
- Customer‑centric with a desire to provide service.
- Organized.
- Excels in high‑pressure environments.
- Can follow written and verbal instructions.
- Calm and friendly demeanor.
- Has working knowledge of menu items including signature beverages.
- Respects customers, managers, team members, and vendors.
- Can recognize signs of intoxication and address situation following Flat Top Grill standards.
- Maintains required state and local food and alcohol certifications.
- Available to work a variety of opens, swings, and closes including weekends and holidays.
- Lift or carry up to 25 lb.
- Constant walking, standing, stooping, and reaching in any direction.
- Manual dexterity.
Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to co‑workers and managers, engage in two‑way conversations with customers, read and/or follow verbal instructions, and apply common sense to carry out oral and/or written instructions. Must understand and adhere to service standards.
