We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Marketing & Events Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a passionate individual with a proven track record in sales, event planning, and relationship building.
The Marketing & Events Manager will be responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and overseeing the planning and execution of corporate and social events with a large focus on weddings. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure to deliver exceptional events.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals for corporate, social, and special events with a large focus on weddings.
- Prospect new clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and digital outreach.
- Meet with potential clients to assess their needs, provide recommendations, and present tailored event solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial inquiry to contract negotiation and closing.
- Foster and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and event partners to ensure long-term business growth.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., operations, janitorial, security) to ensure seamless event execution.
- Create and maintain detailed proposals, budgets, and timelines for events.
- Track sales performance and prepare regular reports on targets, progress, and outcomes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to enhance sales strategy and offerings.
- Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote the company and generate leads.
- Provide post-event follow-up and gather client feedback to ensure satisfaction and future business opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in event sales, wedding planning, hospitality, or related fields.
- Strong sales skills with a proven ability to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software (Salesforce, Tripleseat, etc.).
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events.
