Responsibilities
Circle Academy, a non-public Special Education school serving S/ED, BD, LD youth ages 10-21, is searching for a new member of our behavior intervention team. Responsibilities include working directly with Special Education certified teachers and administrators to plan for, coordinate responses, and implement the management of student behaviors in order to maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment.
ISBE Paraprofessional certificate required. Bachelor’s degree required. Previous experience in a school setting is preferred. Applicant must be a dependable team player with a strong work ethic.
Candidates must have a para-professional license issued by the ISBE or be able to obtain one. Bachelor’s Degree required, in education or human services preferred. Prospective employees must be at least 21 years old, have excellent written and oral communication skills, possess a valid Illinois driver's license and proof of auto insurance, and be able to maintain our client’s confidentiality. Prospective employees must submit to a pre-employment physical and a background check.

Qualifications EducationRequired:
Bachelors or better in Human Services or related field.
Preferred: 1 year working in a school setting.
Licenses & CertificationsPreferred: ISBE Paraprofessional license issued by the ISBE or the ability to obtain one. Applicants must hold a valid Illinois driver’s license and provide proof of auto insurance.
