Responsibilities:
- Plan and provide music appropriate to liturgical seasons and celebrations, including 3 weekend Masses, Holy Week, Holy Days, and other important parish occasions.
- Plan and conduct weekly rehearsals (September – May) for Adult Choir.
- Lead and accompany Assembly and Choir on organ.
- Manage and continue developing adult and children’s choirs.
Qualifications:
- Proficient organist with good improvisational skills.
- Proficient cantor with ability to self-accompany.
- A degree in organ, sacred music, or equivalent professional experience.
- Knowledge of Catholic liturgy and sacred music traditions.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
This is a part-time position. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Weddings and funerals provide additional compensation. The organ is a Walker three manual electronic. Piano is not available nor used for any liturgies.
