The Depot Supervisor is a management role responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective depot operations, with strong focus on inventory control, quality, compliance, cost management and customer interaction.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the role is accountable for overseeing daily depot activities, ensuring accurate system transactions (SAP/GEMS), maintaining product quality standards, implementing SOPs and 5S practices, and delivering operational KPIs.
The position also acts as a key operational interface with end-users, customers, transport providers and internal stakeholders, while supporting contract administration and identifying local improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
- Management of the Depot / Warehouse Operation by way of achieving production target regularly and efficiently.
- Ensuring all SAP transactions have been duly processed before month end
- Resolving inventory issues at warehouse locations, with the support of the SAP Support team in Headquarters.
- Manage inventory in the depot to achieve quick turnaround time.
- Reduce stagnant inventory in the depot to achieve not more than 7 days WIP.
- Manage the entire scanning and uploading of GEMS system.
- Manage and reduce damages return from End Users.
- Management incoming and delivery to ensure smooth traffic flow in the depot.
- Manage with transport companies and shipping agents to arrange timely pick up for delivery
- Manage the QC (Quality Complain) process and inspection to reduce customer complaints.
- Providing CAR (Corrective Action Reports) to complaints and improvements.
- Establish SOP, process flow and inspections in the Depot.
- Achieve cost control, cost reduction, and cost containment targets, and add value to area of expenditure through a strong total cost of ownership orientation and process management.
- Management of daily mail.
- Providing a high standard in all areas of customer experience.
- Supporting the Depot Manager on an as‑needed basis.
- Providing support to the local team when required.
- Improve Quality and Inventory Control.
- Ensures standardization of processes.
- Cost reduction through inefficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Degree in any Engineering field, Logistics, Supply Chain or Warehouse management preferred
- 3 years of warehouse management experience
- Computer literacy – Microsoft Office, Outlook and etc.
- SAP knowledge is preferred
- Knowledge in OHSAS 18001/ISO 14.001 and WMS will be advantage
- Lean / Six Sigma exposure will be preferred
- Proven ability to prioritize and meet time frames
- Able to work under pressure with short lead time
