Production Supervisor - Converting
Location:
700 W Court St, Urbana, OH 43078, USA
Employment:
Full-time, onsite
Shift: 3rd shift, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Legal:

- Oversee daily manufacturing operations in the Converting department to ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards.
- Lead and support production teams, enforce safety and quality requirements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance overall performance including customer service, on-time delivery, and cost.
- Lead by example in a values-driven culture, aligning teams with the company’s mission, vision, and values.
- Lead, coach, and develop production employees while fostering teamwork and accountability.
- Supervise daily production operations to meet output, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets.
- Plan and assign work, monitor workflow, and adjust staffing or processes to meet production demands.
- Ensure employees are properly trained and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor production and quality performance, addressing issues, defects, and performance gaps in a timely manner.
- Partner with maintenance, quality, engineering, and logistics teams to resolve operational issues and maintain workflow.
- Maintain accurate production reports and communicate performance, issues, and improvement actions to leadership.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in a safety- and quality-driven manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality systems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
- Ability to analyze data and solve problems using structured methods.
- Proficiency in production systems, ERP/MRP, and Microsoft Office.
