As a Machinist
- Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in operating and setting up machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. You will work with close attention to detail, ensuring that parts meet exact specifications and quality standards, while supporting production goals.
You will report directly to our ISC Production Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Tempe, AZ location on an On-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes by producing high-quality machined components that meet customer requirements and contribute to the overall success of our production operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision parts according to blueprints and specifications.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, making adjustments to machines as necessary to maintain tolerances.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and resolve machining issues.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of production and quality checks.
- Proven experience as a machinist with the ability to set up and operate machine tools to produce precision parts.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes including milling, turning, and grinding, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure parts meet required tolerances.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions.
- Familiarity with machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Associate degree or technical certification in machining or manufacturing technology.
- 3+ years of experience in a machining role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to maintain high-quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and operation is a plus.
