Position Overview

The Champaign County Board of Developmental Disabilities seeks a dedicated and organized Service and Support Administrator (SSA) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in identifying goals, coordinating services, and advocating for their rights and choices.

The SSA plays a key role in developing and monitoring Individual Service Plans (ISPs), collaborating with families, providers, and community resources to ensure that each person’s needs and preferences are supported.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess individual needs and coordinate ISP conferences using person-centered planning principles
  • Facilitate the development, documentation, and revisions of ISPs
  • Advocate for individuals and families, ensuring they know their rights and have access to resources
  • Coordinate meetings, plan development, and timelines to align with personal goals and desired outcomes
  • Provide information, training, and support for self-advocacy
  • Collaborate with agencies, service providers, and community organizations to identify and access resources
  • Monitor service implementation to ensure plans remain relevant and effective
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with Medicaid billing requirements
  • Report incidents in accordance with applicable health and safety rules
  • Evaluate the quality of services and support continuous improvement
  • Perform related duties including committee work, transportation assistance, and participation in regulatory reviews
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
    , preferably in a human services-related field
  • 1–3 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Must obtain and maintain DODD certification
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license (no restrictions) and ability to transport individuals as needed
  • Strong writing, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage technology systems effectively
  • Basic math proficiency
