Staff Accountant I – 12‑Month Contract – No C2C.

Location:

Urbandale, IA. Onsite requirements: 1–2 days per week with possible additional days during onboarding. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

This entry‑level professional role in General Accounting supports various Controllership groups such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Control, Fiduciary and General Ledger under close supervision. The incumbent provides accounting support by applying receipts, reconciling cash, processing carrier disbursements, preparing and analyzing accounting reports, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies, SOX, SSAE
16, tax regulations, local GAAP, US GAAP and other applicable statutory regulations.

• Apply receipts, reconcile cash and process carrier disbursements.
• Prepare and analyze various accounting reports including variances, disbursements and billing; ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Assist with the development, implementation and documentation of internal and external accounting and operating policies, procedures and process improvements for general accounting functions.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, carrier agreements, SOX procedures, SSAE
  16 procedures, tax regulations, local GAAP and US GAAP and local statutory regulations (as applicable) regarding financial matters.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience (maximum 3 years).
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Excel.
• Prior accounting experience;
  Accounts receivable experience is preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
