Staff Accountant

Duration: 6 Months
Location: Urbandale, IA
Work Mode: Onsite daily until trained, then once trained can move to 6x a month

• Provide accounting support requiring familiarity with and experience in accounting practices under general supervision.
• Perform disbursements, billing, payment applications, and administrative system accounting reports and/or consolidated statements.
• Analyze and maintain accounts and/or company insured records.
• Prepare and analyze various accounting reports including variances, disbursement, billing, and statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of reports.
• Perform variation and trend analysis for key accounts or reports.
• Assist with the development, implementation, and documentation of internal and external accounting and operating policies, procedures, and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, carrier agreements, SOX procedures, SSAE
  16 procedures, tax regulations, local GAAP, and US GAAP and local statutory regulations regarding financial matters.

• Associate’s degree
• 1-3 years of experience
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Excel

• Prior finance or accounting experience
• Good organizational skills & teamwork
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple systems and tasks
• Attention to detail
