Urbandale, IA – Onsite Duration: 6 Months +Role Overview We are seeking a Commissions Specialist I to manage commission statements, calculate override and bonus payments, reconcile commission revenue with the General Ledger, and support agents and business partners with commission-related questions.

Key Responsibilities:

Retrieve commission statements from carrier websites and prepare commission files.

Calculate commission overrides and bonus payments using rate schedules and compensation grids.

Reconcile carrier statements and commission revenue to the General Ledger.

Investigate discrepancies, reporting errors, and payment issues with Accounting.

Manage shared commission inboxes and respond to agent, wholesaler, and business partner inquiries.

Ensure commission data is accurate, complete, and processed on time.

Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong attention to detail.

Required Skills:

Microsoft Excel – formulas and Pivot Tables Microsoft  Outlook Microsoft Word Adobe Acrobat Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

Strong research, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills

Preferred Qualifications One or more years of relevant professional experience

Experience in financial services, insurance, or annuities

Associate degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience

Ideal Candidate Someone who is highly accurate, detail-oriented, analytical, customer-service focused, and comfortable working with Excel, financial data, and commission calculations.
