Serve as lead mechanical project engineer during construction of a simple cycle combustion turbine project. An EPC Contractor will be responsible for design, procurement, and construction of a power plant on a greenfield site.
The Lead Mechanical Project Engineer will report to the Project Managers, Site Construction Manager and support other key project personnel.
Job Responsibilities- Review EPC design documents (drawings and specifications) for conformance with EPC contract requirements and good industry practice.
- Assist in the assessment of technical compliance in area of speciality
- Report on Engineering Progress
- Identify variances in documentation from the Contract
- Attend weekly PMT and status meetings
- During construction, work primarily in the project's field office on site
- Independently verify and document installed facilities that be used to verify accuracy of conform to construction records (CTRC)
- Support responses to RFIs
- Participate in the development and acceptance of the turnover and start up packages
- Review design documents for safety and quality objectives in area of responsibility
