Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
Specialized ExperienceApplicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-12 level) that demonstrates the statements below:
- Researched, analyzed, and resolved inconsistencies in internal financial reports to ensure accuracy and alignment with program requirements;
- Conducted in-depth analyses of financial transactions to identify issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions;
- Ensured the reasonableness, reliability, and accuracy of financial data through comprehensive review and verification practices;
- Interpreted complex and ambiguous financial management and accounting guidelines, applying advanced technical judgment to resolve issues;
- Assessed the implications of adopting financial proposals and policy changes, providing recommendations based on sound financial analysis;
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
