Technical Support Associate II (Whitestown, IN or Urbandale, IA)
Play a critical role in our North American Field Testing & Pipeline Delivery organization as the technical expert for the entire field-testing portfolio, mastering cutting‑edge hardware and software that powers planting, imaging, and harvest operations.
Position PurposeProvide high‑quality technical support for internal teams, troubleshooting custom equipment via calls, instant messages, and on‑site visits. Analyze operational data, collaborate with engineering on system improvements, and train operators to ensure flawless field operations.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary technical expert for internal teams, handling troubleshooting via calls, instant messages, and on‑site support.
- Assist in equipment operation, preventive maintenance, run diagnostics, and perform remote machine adjustments using deep digital acumen.
- Analyze and present operational data to identify trends, collaborate with engineering on systemic solutions, and train new operators.
- Work in an agile environment, deliver high‑quality results, communicate effectively across teams, and demonstrate initiative in problem solving.
- Maintain high safety, efficiency, and ethical standards, championing sustainability across all operations.
- Travel up to 20% to support field operations and build connections across global teams and local community partnerships.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (TSA I and TSA II).
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Possess or can acquire a Part 107 pilot license for UAV operation.
- Strong networking and stakeholder influence skills.
- Strategic decision‑making ability aligned with organizational objectives.
- Strong task prioritization and multi‑project management skills.
- Adaptability and resilience in dynamic environments.
- Eager learner committed to continuous development.
- Availability to work extended hours during peak operational seasons.
- Experience testing, troubleshooting, operating, and repairing field equipment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Bachelor’s degree or at least five years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least two years of relevant experience (TSA III).
Compensation and BenefitsSalary range: $63,040.00 – $94,560.00 with potential bonus or commission. Benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, and sick leave.
