Job Overview

. The copier parts technician is responsible for salvaging functioning components from used copiers to reduce the consumption of new parts and increase profit margin.
- Identify areas of used copiers with salvageable parts or components through diagnostics.
- Disassemble and remove functioning components from used copier devices for salvaging.
- Prepare used parts and components for deployment.
- Maintain an accurate parts inventory that minimizes new parts consumption.
- Perform parts removal from new products to meet field needs following S‑Rob procedures.
- Assist technicians in locating parts needed to facilitate field repairs from the inventory.
- Meet established metrics and benchmarks and comply with procedures and expectations.
- Maintain current technical knowledge and continuously expand knowledge of new technology and equipment.
- Accurately maintain documentation and service procedures in a timely manner, including time entry.
- Attend required company and departmental meetings.
- Act in accordance with Marco policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Education
:
High School diploma and 2+ years of experience, or associate degree. - 2+ years of previous related experience.
- Preferred:
Sharp, Canon, HP, and/or Konica direct service experience. - Licenses and Certifications
:
Valid Driver’s License, proof of personal insurance, and clean driving record. - Required Skills
:- Proficiency with business collaboration tools such as MS Office, Outlook, and company-specific programs.
