Position: PICU Nurse (RN) | Urbandale, Iowa

Qualifications &

Experience:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Proven experience working in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
• BLS and PALS certifications (current and valid)
• Strong clinical assessment, technical, and documentation skills
• Ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations
• Experience with pediatric ventilation, infusion pumps, and emergency response protocols

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level, individualized nursing care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond swiftly with appropriate interventions
• Administer complex medication regimens and operate advanced life-support equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams-physicians, respiratory therapists, social workers-to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate and support families by providing information and resources during challenging situations
• Accurately document care processes and patient responses in medical records
