Inthis role
- Promote goodwill with customers who own, purchase, or specify Data Power Technology Group (DPT) equipment and ensure their customer experience is positive
- Perform inspections of DPT equipment prior to start-up and commissioning to verify equipment is installed correctly and in accordance with manufacturer's installation guidelines
- Counsel contractor customers who install DPT equipment incorrectly on proper installation practices
- Startup, commission, and/or train customers on DPT equipment
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance for DPT Customers
- Be the technical expert on all DPT equipment
- Maintain good working relationships with DPT Sales Engineers and customers through verbal and written correspondence
- Working knowledge of refrigeration, VRF, HVAC, and hydronic equipment, specifically in a commercial/industrial application
- Ability to interact and cooperatively work with a variety of internal and external customers
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Understand and follow oral and written directions
- Work independently with little direction
- Meet schedules and timelines while maintaining routine records and reports
- Routinely lift objects weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Customer service oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn
- Preferred at least 5 years of experience in HVAC/R
- Up to 10% travel
- Working Dues Member of a Local Plumbers and Steamfitters Union or willingness to join Local Hall
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- State of Iowa Journeyperson’s License
- Active EPA Universal Section 608 Certification
