Job Description About the Role

Insight Global is seeking Data Center Technician I professionals to support the installation, construction, and deployment of infrastructure within Microsoft data centers. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in the data center industry and gain hands‑on experience with structured cabling, pathway installation, rack deployments, and other construction‑related projects.

• Assist with structured cabling installation and cable pulls within active data center environments
• Support installation of cable pathways, tray systems, and trapezes
• Assist with rack deployment and equipment movement
• Read and follow basic work instructions and project requirements
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Work alongside experienced technicians and crew leads to complete project tasks
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow Microsoft and IES safety standards at all times
• Participate in occasional weekend work when project schedules require

Pay: $22-$23/hr

• Ability to speak, read, and understand English
• Ability to work in a physically demanding construction/data center environment
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move heavy equipment and materials
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Ability to wear required PPE, including steel-toe, lace‑up work boots
• Comfortable working in warm environments and on active construction sites
