Staff Accountant

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented staff accountant for a contract opportunity with a growing organization in southwest Utah. This role will support a variety of accounting functions and play an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting processes, and assisting with month-end close activities. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and comfortable working across multiple accounting disciplines in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare and post journal entries while supporting month-end close activities.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy.
• Review and validate accounting transactions for proper classification and coding.
• Record payroll and benefits-related accounting entries and assist with related reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate monthly depreciation.
• Support project-based accounting activities and financial tracking.
• Generate customer invoices and assist with accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare reports and provide financial data to support business decisions and operational needs.
• Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and internal control documentation.

Bachelor's degree in accounting strongly preferred

2 plus years of hands-on accounting experience
