Position: Economic Development Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Duchesne

Duchesne County is hiring a Part-Time Economic Development Assistant to support business outreach, marketing, event coordination, and administrative operations within the Economic Development Office.

Position Profile

Under the direction of the Economic Development Executive Director, the Economic Development Assistant performs a variety of administrative, technical, and support duties related to economic development activities in Duchesne County. This position provides support in business outreach, marketing, event planning, data management, and public relations efforts. The role requires strong computer skills, effective communication abilities, and experience working with businesses and the public.

All work is performed under the supervision and direction of the Economic Development Executive Director.

Position Highlights
  • Provides administrative and technical support to the Economic Development Executive Director
  • Assists with business outreach, scheduling, and maintaining community partnerships
  • Supports marketing efforts, including website updates, social media, newsletters, and promotional materials
  • Helps plan and coordinate meetings, community events, and economic development activities
  • Maintains reports, databases, files, and project documentation
  • Communicates professionally with business owners, elected officials, and the public
  • Performs general office and project support duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education or experience in business, marketing, public administration, communications, or a related field
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and general office technology)
  • Excellent organization, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Work Environment
  • Part-time, non-exempt position
  • Primarily office-based with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
