Department Operations Level Experienced (Individual Contributor)
Location Manila The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.
About the Team:
The Strategy and Projects Business Partner plays a critical role in driving innovation, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across Scommerce's Vendor Management and Procurement operations. This role focuses on developing smart strategies and leading impactful projects that enhance day-to-day operations, unlocking cost savings and productivity gains.
Job Description:
Strategy and
Innovation: Identify, develop, and execute procurement strategies and special projects focused on cost reduction, automation, and operational excellence.
Project Leadership:
Contribute to or lead cross-functional initiatives that enhance procurement effectiveness and scalability.
Executive Reporting:
Own the consolidation of project updates and progress tracking for the entire Vendor Management and Procurement team. Prepare top-level presentation decks and reports for leadership reviews, business updates, and strategic planning.
Consulting and Process Automation:
Propose and implement automation tools or process changes to streamline operations. Serve as an internal consultant by facilitating process improvement brainstorming sessions and supporting teams in developing scalable solutions.
Cost Optimization:
Analyze data to identify inefficiencies, reduce unnecessary spend, and continuously improve procurement performance.
Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Operations & Account Management:
Manage the full P2P cycle for assigned accounts - including sourcing, negotiations, order management, purchase requisitions, delivery coordination, goods receiving, and accounts payable monitoring - to ensure seamless, cost-efficient execution.
Business Partnerships:
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and external partners to ensure consistent service quality, alignment with business goals, and long-term collaboration. Conduct regular performance reviews to monitor service levels, address gaps, and drive continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with co-business partners leading their respective domains - including Governance, Strategic Sourcing, Midmile Strategy, Assets & Liquidations, Logistics Operations, and Risk & Controls - to ensure procurement initiatives are aligned with organizational standards, risk controls, and strategic priorities. Collaborate with other key teams, including Operational Excellence, Operations Support, Expansions, Business Intelligence, Finance, and Warehouse Operations, to ensure procurement strategies support broader business objectives and drive operational efficiency.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in any field.

At least 2 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, supply chain, or purchasing is a plus, but not required.
Experience in logistics, fulfillment, or warehouse operations is an advantage.

Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Soft Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
Willingness to travel to vendor sites, warehouses, and project locations when needed.
