Role Description The Children’s Program Manager is a full-time seasonal, on-site role based at Snowbasin Resort in Eden, UT. This position oversees all aspects of children’s programs, including seasonal and daily offerings such as ski school, childcare, and recreational activities. The role includes designing age-appropriate programming, scheduling staff, coordinating lesson and activity logistics, and ensuring safe, engaging experiences for children and their families.
The Children’s Program Manager works closely with instructors, guest services, and operations teams to align program standards with resort goals and guest expectations. Daily responsibilities include supervising team members, monitoring program quality and safety, managing communication with parents and guardians, and supporting continuous improvement through feedback and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Experience in children’s program management, youth recreation, education, or childcare, preferably in a resort or outdoor environment.
- Strong leadership and staff supervision skills, including scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Ability to design and implement age-appropriate activities and curricula focused on safety, fun, and skill development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with children, guardians, and cross-functional resort teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage logistics, budgets, and resources while maintaining program quality and guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of risk management and safety standards for children’s programs; commitment to safe practices in all activities.
- Comfort working in a mountain environment and willingness to be outdoors in varying weather conditions; experience with snow sports is a plus.
- Proficiency with basic office software and resort systems to handle scheduling, reporting, and guest communications.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in recreation, education, hospitality, or related fields is preferred.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods as required by resort operations.
