On-Site Safety Supervisor

Blue Sky Construction is seeking a hands-on Site Safety Supervisor for a compressor station construction project in Dutch John, Utah. This position will work closely with project leadership, field crews, and subcontractors to identify hazards, support safe work practices, and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the project.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in the field, communicating expectations clearly, and addressing safety concerns with practical solutions.

• Oversee daily jobsite safety activities during site preparation, excavation, concrete work, equipment installation, and piping construction.
• Conduct routine site inspections, identify hazards, and follow corrective actions through completion.
• Review job hazard analyses and participate in pre-task planning with supervisors and crews.
• Lead site safety orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
• Monitor activities involving heavy equipment, excavations, lifting and rigging, hot work, work at heights, and other hazardous tasks.
• Verify that required protective equipment, safeguards, and work permits are in place before work begins.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to communicate and reinforce site safety expectations.
• Address unsafe conditions promptly, stop work when necessary, and help crews establish safe conditions before resuming.
• Support incident and near-miss reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports, training records, and other safety documentation.
• Support emergency preparedness and communicate safety concerns to project management.

• Experience in construction safety, preferably in industrial construction, oil and gas, pipeline, or compressor station projects.
• Working knowledge of construction hazards, hazard controls, and applicable safety requirements.
• Experience conducting inspections, leading safety meetings, and reviewing job hazard analyses.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with field crews, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Confidence addressing unsafe conditions while maintaining professional working relationships.
• Relevant construction safety training or certifications preferred.
• Availability to work on site in Dutch John, Utah 60 hours a week.

This is a field-based position on an active construction site. The role involves regular walking across uneven ground, working outdoors in changing weather, and wearing required personal protective equipment.
