Production Designer - Snowbird Marketing

LOCATION:

Snowbird Resort, Marketing Office STATUS:
Full-time, year-round, salaried

Must be able to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays .SUMMARY Under the direction of the Senior Brand and Graphic Designer, the Marketing Production & Graphic Designer adheres to brand standards and style in design projects across Snowbird resort. Responsible for preparing and completing artwork for print or digital media, including vouchers, menus, advertising and other marketing materials.

Preparing press-ready files based on the given specifications. Amend designs after feedback;
Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.

WHAT YOU'LL DOCreate and manipulate graphics through Adobe Creative Suite apps such as Illustrator, Photoshop, & InDesign.

Format graphics and proof files, output for print. Printing, trimming, and laminating materials.

Delivery of printed materials.

Assist design team with producing print, packaging, advertising, point-of-purchase, and digital graphics.

Assist design team with internal brand updates

Assess project specifics and create a final product that adheres to those requirements.

Collaborate with the design and marketing team to define and execute projects.

Follow a product workflow and timeline to ensure projects progress in a timely manner.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE2-3 years of working experience in the design field required.

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts or related field or equivalent.

Strong attention to details such as alignment, character and paragraph styles & proper printing procedures.

Have a good attitude, creative, professional, teamwork skills, and ready to work full-time on site at Snowbird resort.

Applicants must submit a portfolio of graphic design work to be considered.

Solid foundation in design principles, typography, color theory, layout and software proficiency.

A love for the outdoor industry. Skiing/Snowboarding ability is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS This position works on-site at Snowbird resort.

Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.

May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.

General office environment with limited physical activity.

Some bending, kneeling, reaching, and grasping is required. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs is required.

Work is routine in pleasant, comfortable surroundings. General office conditions prevail.

Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise.

Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with supervisory staff, colleagues and department managers via phone, email and in-person.

Must be able to manage stress and work on multiple projects to meet deadlines.

Must be able to walk on slippery surfaces of snow and ice.

Must be able to walk over uneven, uphill/downhill areas.

Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.

Must be able to walk through deep snow, occasionally.

Occasionally provides courteous, efficient, and professional service to guests.
