This 238-bed medical center seeks an interventional cardiologist for locum tenens ER call coverage. The facility operates cardiac catheterization laboratories supported by dedicated staff, including a specialized 3-person 24/7 call team. Laboratory staffing supports two cardiac labs Monday through Wednesday and one lab Thursday through Friday, providing structured cardiac care delivery across the week. The facility maintains the clinical resources necessary to support on-site interventional cardiology services.

Ogden, Utah offers a range of outdoor and cultural activities suited to varied interests. The area provides access to hiking trails with scenic waterfalls, mountain slopes, and reservoir recreation, along with a vibrant downtown district featuring 19th-century architecture. The Eccles Dinosaur Park offers a family-oriented destination featuring over 100 full-sized dinosaur sculptures enhanced by sound and robotics. Additional options include a year-round music scene, local breweries, farmers markets, car shows, sporting events, and tours to nearby Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.

The interventional cardiologist will provide ER call coverage on a 24/7 basis, serving as the primary on-call clinician for both interventional and primary cardiac call during the coverage period from August 31 through September 7, with shifts structured on a 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM schedule. Clinical responsibilities include performing interventional cardiology procedures and echocardiograms, including transesophageal echocardiography, in response to emergency cardiac presentations.

The clinician will collaborate with a 3-person 24/7 call team and laboratory staff throughout the assignment. Laboratory operations are supported by daily staffing across two labs on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and one lab on Thursday and Friday. Patient documentation must be completed using the EPIC EMR system to maintain accurate and timely clinical records. Utah medical licensure and prescriptive authority are mandatory for this assignment;

board certification in interventional cardiology is negotiable.
