Because of the significant responsibility placed on educators, teachers in Utah are required to meet professional preparation and credentialing standards established by the Utah State Board of Education. Applicants for teaching positions in the Cache County School District must hold a current Utah educator license and appropriate endorsements for the assigned subject or grade level. Candidates who bring both strong instructional skills and proper licensure help ensure that students receive the high‑quality education they deserve.
This is an elementary art teacher funded by the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts program (BTSArts). BTSArts provides high‑quality arts instruction that primarily integrates art with the Utah Elementary Language Arts Core. The art teacher will work collaboratively with the classroom teacher to provide meaningful arts-integrated instruction.
- Must hold a 4‑year degree in art and a Valid Utah Professional Educator license, or equivalent. Candidates must be a licensed educator with a Valid Utah Professional Educator License with the corresponding art form endorsement. Candidates must either hold a secondary license and K-12 endorsement in the art form or an elementary license with an Elementary Visual Art Specialist Endorsement.
- Ability to work with classroom teachers to plan and integrate visual art instruction across the curriculum.

Position OverviewThe Teacher – Elementary supports the instructional program by providing classroom instruction aligned with district curriculum standards, supervising students in classroom and school environments, developing lesson plans, and collaborating with staff and families to support student learning and development. The teacher monitors student progress, maintains classroom management, and promotes a safe, engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Adapt classroom instruction to address diverse learning needs and individualized student plans.
- Administer developmental and subject-specific assessments to evaluate student progress and inform instruction.
- Develop lesson plans aligned with district curriculum guidelines and learning objectives.
- Facilitate student learning through group and individual instruction designed to promote academic and interpersonal growth.
- Manage student behavior to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
- Counsel students to support academic performance, personal development, and problem‑solving skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and community resources to improve student outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
- Direct instructional assistants, student teachers, volunteers, and other classroom support staff.
- Monitor students in various environments, including classrooms, playgrounds, and field trips, to ensure safety.
- Prepare and maintain student records, including grades, attendance, and anecdotal documentation.
- Participate in school meetings, professional learning communities, and professional development.
- Report incidents related to student safety or policy violations according to district guidelines.
- Respond to inquiries from staff, parents, and administrators regarding instructional programs and student progress.
