Concurrent Enrollment Director

Under the direction of the Associate Provost, the Concurrent Enrollment (CE) Director provides leadership, direction, and implementation of quality practices according to USHE guidelines and NACEP standards for Snow College's concurrent enrollment program. This includes face-to-face (F2F) classes at high schools, interactive video conferencing (IVC) classes taught from campus, and some online classes. The CE Director also facilitates the application and registration process for high school students wishing to attend classes on Snow College's campuses.

The Director works with CE stakeholders in collaborative ways to continuously enhance the quality of offerings and practices that effectively and efficiently serve students in pursuit of higher education objectives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution. A master's degree is preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in academic advising, academic leadership, and/or concurrent enrollment leadership.
  • Knowledge and ability to lead office workflows, concurrent enrollment staff, and responsive communication with partners.
  • Possession of high professional standards and a personal code of ethics characterized by mutual respect, honesty, integrity, openness, and fairness.
  • Effective interpersonal written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to foster collaborative efforts and partnership building with internal and external constituencies within a diverse community.
  • Commitment to core institutional values such as educational access, academic freedom, quality instruction, and student support.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Major Responsibilities/Duties
  • This is an 11-month position.
  • Hours can be flexible, with the usual hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, there may be emergency responses, travel, weekend and evening work required.
  • Communicate and collaborate with appropriate Snow College personnel, school district and high school administrators and faculty.
  • Supervise CE academic advisors and the IVC Manager to ensure they are trained and effectively work with their assigned high school partners.
  • Ensure Snow CE practices are consistent with Utah Code, as well as with Utah System of Higher Education (USHE) and Utah State Board of Education (USBE) rules and guidelines.
  • Represent CE on college, district, regional and state-wide committees and organizations as directed by the Associate Provost.
  • Develop and manage CE budgets and revenues.
  • Oversee all matters pertaining to program operations including quality of instruction, class scheduling, student registration, and grading, participating in committees and delivering presentations, developing and managing budgets and research.
  • Plan course offerings and promote and maintain collegial and collaborative relationships with Snow faculty, administrators and public education personnel through district and college meetings, recognition of excellence, department meetings and other means of communication.
  • Work with academic, enrollment management, and marketing partners on campus to increase the numbers of concurrent enrollment students that continue their education at Snow College.
