Overview

South Summit School District is seeking part‑time substitute employees to support our schools in a variety of roles, including substitute teachers, special education substitutes, and ESPs (Educational Support Professionals). Substitutes are needed across all schools in the district.

• Hourly Pay Rates
  • Licensed Substitutes: $18.00
  • STEDI‑Trained Substitutes: $15.00
  • Substitutes with No Training: $13.00
• Monthly Teacher Substitute Incentives
  • 30 hours completed: $50
  • 60 hours completed: $100
  • 90 hours completed: $150

• Up to 7 hours per school day, as assigned
• High school diploma or GED required
• Positive, compassionate attitude and ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
• Ability to provide student instruction under the direction of a licensed teacher
• Must complete fingerprinting and successfully pass a background check
• This position is part‑time and does not include benefits
