Teacher Assistant

Patience, structure, and a willingness to help wherever needed are central to how you work best. As our Teacher Assistant, you'll help create a nurturing classroom environment, support individualized learning, and contribute to the daily routines that keep children engaged and progressing. You'll enjoy our collaborative structure where you'll support a well‑run classroom while making sure the small details are handled with accuracy.

Join us at Rural Utah Child Development as our Teacher Assistant, where your dependable support will help children build the foundation for a strong start in school.

What You'll Need To Be Our Teacher Assistant
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, or Bachelor's degree in a related field with 15 credit hours relating to Early Childhood Education OR Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education with one year of paid experience working with young children or Associate's degree with 15 early childhood credits
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to work directly with and support children in a hands on classroom environment
  • Willing to be enrolled in a CDA credential program or enrolled in a program to obtain an Associate's degree within two years of hire
  • CDA, preferred
  • Previous experience with special needs children, preferred
What You'll Do As The Teacher Assistant
  • Support teaching staff in implementing curriculum and daily lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Actively supervise and engage children to ensure a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
  • Assist with behavior management, assessments, and documentation to support individualized learning and school readiness
  • Collaborate with teachers and families to enhance educational outcomes
  • Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment that supports safety and efficiency
Schedule

Part‑time, 30 hours per week, Monday--Friday. Position operates on a 39‑week program year schedule with summers off.
