Overview
Academics is seeking a passionate RE teacher to work in a secondary school in the Leeds area for a September 2026 start. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the school’s curriculum and guide students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to reach their potential.
Responsibilities- Controlling the classroom and ensuring that the school’s behaviour policy is followed
- Teaching Religious Education to a high standard to students across KS3 and KS4
- Engaging with other members of the team, sharing ideas and contributing to the RE curriculum
- Creating a positive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing their religious beliefs
- Right to work in the UK
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A relevant degree related to RE
- DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
- Weekly pay to scale through PAYE
- Additional CPD and safeguarding courses free of charge
- Excellent progression opportunities
