Dean Of Students/Instructional Coach

Parowan High School is seeking a full time Dean of Students/Instructional Coach. The Dean of Students/Instructional Coach will work closely with school administration, school personnel and students to support all applicable parties ranging from grades 7-12. This dual purpose administrator/coach will support learning with an emphasis given to new educators, instruction, technology, and the implementation of school-wide goals. This position will work closely with staff as needed to improve school climate, instructional practices, and aid in the implementation of new programs.

This position works directly with administration and teachers in a school providing classroom-based demonstrations, collaborative and one-on-one support, and facilitating teacher inquiry and related professional development as needed and requested. The focus is on enhancing teachers' ability to provide instruction that builds students' sense of engagement in the ownership of learning. This position works with administrators and teachers to collect and analyze data, interpret, and use it to guide instructional decisions in the implementation of a 3-Tiered Model.

Additional responsibilities include attendance tracking and a school wide focus on positive behavior interventions and support in order to build and maintain a positive, safe school climate. Additionally, this position will assist school administration in supervision of extracurricular activities. Finally, this position will also supports school safety and safety practices.
