Workshop Supervisor in Carpentry & Joinery - Stephenson College

We have an exciting opportunity for a Carpentry and Joinery Workshop Supervisor to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Stephenson College.

Join our team in a hands‑on workshop role where you’ll support the delivery of high‑quality teaching and learning.

Responsibilities of this role include;

• Ensure the Health and Safety of students in the use of equipment, tools and resources required to develop their skills and knowledge.
• Review, monitor and complete annual risk assessments associated with the workshop environment, including COSHH.
• Organise safe systems for storage of material and equipment and maintain the cleanliness of the workshop.
• Ensure suitable and sufficient materials are available for practical lessons delivered in the workshop and support the department when apprentices are undertaking their end point assessments.

• Possess a Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant construction subject area (e.g. carpentry, bricklaying, multi-trade)
• Have recent experience in the relevant industry
• Have knowledge of the sector
• Have excellent time management skills and be able to work to deadlines
