SCHEDULE:Typically, from 7am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, some weekends and shift work. Usually, 40 hours per week with 30 minutes/1 hour lunch break unless arrangements have been agreed to by the employer and the employee. 20-25% travel required.
JOB SUMMARY:This is a skilled position;
Employees in this role perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbine mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, understands schematics and uses appropriate diagnostic tools. The successful candidate will interpret fault reports, maintain power generation reports, service logs in the computer database, and monitor turbine performance.
The technician should be able understand and utilize Deutsche Windtechnik documentation to include basic drawings and schematics, work procedures, equipment, tooling and machinery associated with routine wind turbine operation and maintenance. It expected that the technician will learn basic electrical and mechanical maintenance skills such that they will be able to perform maintenance related tasks independently, as well as provide adequate assistance to more experienced technicians in the performance of routine activities.
