• Designs power, controls, and process instrumentation per the NEC, including hazardous classified locations.
• Provide detailed cost estimates for project design and implementation.
• Troubleshoot industrial electrical equipment.
• Develop electrical maintenance guidelines for industrial equipment.
• Integrate and specify electrical equipment for robotics, PLCs, servo drives, instrumentation and HVAC equipment.
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to control a variety of processes, machine tools, and robotics. Allen-Bradley PLC and Rockwell Software experience preferred.
• Develop electrical schematics that are logical and well-organized with minimal redlines.
• Design panel layouts that minimize space and comply with manufacturer specifications.
• Design, specify, and program variable frequency drives (VFD) for motor control applications.
• CNC machine knowledge and specification.
• Work with maintenance craftsmen to troubleshoot.
• Project management and cost estimating.
• Provide detailed project designs in AutoCAD drawing format.

• BS in Engineering with an emphasis in electrical/automation.
• 2 years minimum or 0 with a Masters degree in industrial facility electrical design experience.
• Industrial power and control design experience.
• PLC systems and design experience.
• AutoCAD drafting ability.
• Ability to work in the field, climb ladders, work outside and in congested areas.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
