Overview
Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical & Environmental Consultants has immediate openings for a Soils and Materials Field Technician in Salt Lake City, Utah. Experience in construction inspection, soils and materials testing, and appropriate field certification is a plus. The successful candidate will have knowledge regarding the standard test methods for field density testing of soil utility backfill, mass grading, paving subgrade, proof-rolling observation experience, as well as field concrete sampling and testing.
Responsibilities- Perform field density testing of soil for utility backfill, mass grading, and paving subgrades.
- Conduct proof-rolling observations as part of project testing and inspection.
- Collect field samples and perform field testing of concrete.
- Experience in soils field testing.
- Current radiation user safety certificate.
- Experience with field testing of concrete with current ACI Field I certification.
- Asphalt experience is ideal but not required.
- Excellent mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong work ethic.
- Must have a current valid driver’s license.
