Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Marine Surveyor role based in Garland, UT. The Marine Surveyor is responsible for inspecting vessels, marine structures, and related equipment to assess condition, compliance with regulations, and suitability for intended operations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting detailed surveys, preparing reports, documenting findings, and recommending maintenance or corrective actions. The role also involves reviewing technical drawings, coordinating with vessel owners, operators, and other stakeholders, and supporting risk assessments and incident investigations.

The Marine Surveyor will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, regulatory adherence, and accurate valuation of marine assets.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in Marine Survey and Inspection, with the ability to conduct thorough evaluations of vessels and marine assets.
  • Strong knowledge of the Marine Industry and Vessel Operations, including relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Understanding of Naval Architecture principles to interpret plans, assess structural integrity, and evaluate design compliance.
  • Relevant technical or maritime qualification (e.g., degree in naval architecture, marine engineering, or related field) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to write clear, detailed survey reports and communicate findings effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Capacity to work on-site in Garland, UT, including visits to shipyards, ports, and marine facilities as required.
  • Professional certifications or membership in recognized marine or surveying bodies are an advantage.
