About This RoleQuanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC (QISG) is seeking a Project Manager II (PM II) to support the Intermountain Power Agency (IPA) converter station project in Delta, Utah, a major infrastructure initiative involving the upgrade and modernization of critical high-voltage power facilities. This large-scale project includes significant converter station, substation, civil, electrical, and facility construction and requires the coordination of multiple disciplines and concurrent work fronts within a highly active construction environment.
The PM II will play a key role in the successful execution of this complex design-build/Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) project. The position is responsible for all aspects of project delivery, including management and administration of the prime contract and oversight and coordination of engineering, design, procurement, scheduling, construction management, and field operations.
Working closely with project and site leadership, the PM II will help drive the day-to-day execution of the project, coordinating teams and resources across multiple areas of work while maintaining focus on safety, quality, schedule, cost, and contractual requirements. Responsibilities include direction and coordination of field-office activities as well as the management and administration of construction subcontracts and purchase orders.
The PM II is responsible for the supervision and coordination of field operations within assigned areas of the project and will have a strong on-site presence. Based on project needs, the PM II may be required to perform all aspects of project management responsibilities from the project site.
The PM II will also oversee the auditing and inspection of work performed by construction subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, quality requirements, and applicable testing standards, including the preparation and review of associated audit and inspection reports.
What You’ll Do- Manages integrated Design-Build (DB)/Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) teams from project inception through completion, including during pursuit phase if requested
- Provides overall direction and coordination of intermediate and final engineering design and construction activities
- Administration and management of the prime contract, construction subcontracts, and purchase orders
- Ensures compliance with customer goals and expectations associated with safety, quality, and environmental stewardship
- Plans, executes, and provides reporting on overall project performance
- Works directly with the customer to ensure optimal communication, customer satisfaction, and effective coordination between the project and other activities occurring at the jobsite
- Mitigates and effectively resolves potential disputes
- Develops and provides oversight to ensure compliance with project-specific health and safety plans and project-specific quality control and quality assurance plans
