Run Crew - Costumes (Maintenance)

Being a part of the Maintenance Crew means making every costume look their best, keeping the world of the play alive on stage in the middle of the red rocks of Padre Canyon. As a member of the Costume Maintenance Crew you'll be collaborating with the rest of the Costume Maintenance team to keep all the costume elements maintained. Your responsibilities will include basic inspection and repair of garments, shoes, and craft pieces.

• Google Suite (primarily Google sheets)
• Shoe wear/tear inspecting
• Garment wear/tear inspecting
• Basic laundry and steaming/pressing of garments
• Sewing for garment repairs
• Basic shoe repair
• Basic knowledge of craft items repair
• Ability to work with performers and staff in a positive and professional manner while on campus at all times
• Ability to listen, take instruction, and to participate in a team to complete the assigned tasks
• Clean and maintain all spaces

• Ability to lift 30 lbs
• Ability to work outside in a desert climate
• Adhere to and promote all OSHA and maintain a safe work environment
• Adhere to all rules and regulations required by the Actor's Equity Association (AEA) and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE)

• 2 years of professional Costume experience

Limited housing is available at $50 per week. This position is represented by IATSE Chapter 720, but you do not have to be an IATSE member to apply.
