Scrub Technician

SCRUB TECHNICIAN Join our Surgical Team in the OR at Moab Regional Hospital This position plays an essential role by assisting surgeons during operations and ensuring the operating room is sterile at all times. Scrub Techs must possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient safety. Our ideal candidate is a compassionate, critical thinker and is able to act effectively in emergencies.

Due to the rural location of MRH, candidates must possess a comprehensive range of general scrub skills, including central sterile processing, and be able to adapt and learn without hesitancy. This is a full-time, year-round, benefitted position.

Schedule pattern:
Scheduled week days, requires on call responsibilities, including rotating evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job requirements:

• 1 year Surgical Tech experience (preferred)
• Certified Surgical Tech (preferred)
• Current BLS Certification
• Available to take average 8-10 call days per month (up to 14, depending on staffing levels), with 20-minute response time to hospital
• Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
• Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
• In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures, preferred
• Prior experience as a scrub/surgical technologist, preferred
• Experience with central sterile processing, preferred
• A great team player with excellent communication skills including oral, written, and listening skills
