About the role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Please be aware this role is for 33 hours per week and for night shift.
Key responsibilities- Plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence.
- Get to know residents and their families and help deliver truly personalised care plans.
- Lead a team of Care Assistants, maintaining the highest standards of care and influencing the team.
- Show residents how to use walking frames, help at the end of life to eat a meal, talk to residents’ families with kindness.
- Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager with providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities and administer medication.
- Maintain accurate records of work and build strong relationships with the team.
- Completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Social Care (or equivalent).
- Prepared to work toward a Level 3 qualification in Adult Social Care.
- Background in person‑centred care planning and caring for people with dementia.
- Brilliant positive energy, natural ability to get along with people, good record‑keeping skills, time‑management ability.
- Considerate communication with residents and co‑workers.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You must recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to undertake safeguarding training and additional training in associated areas, and to report concerns and seek appropriate advice.
