Sacred Circle Healthcare is seeking a full-time, Behavioral Health Therapist, for our Wendover, Utah, clinic.

Work Schedule
:
To Be Determined with the availability of 8:00 am – 8:30 pm Monday through Friday. Typically three, 12-hour shifts per week. Evening and weekend work may be required as needed.

:
Due to the remote location of this position, limited housing accommodations and transportation assistance may be available for employees working in Wendover, Utah, based on operational needs and availability.

Responsibilities – The successful candidate
  • Conducts intake assessments
  • Provides mental health counseling to children, adults, couples, and groups.
  • Coordinates care of patients with primary care providers regarding psychotropic medication needs.
  • Provides behavioral health interventions related to a variety of needs such as smoking cessation, medication compliance, weight control, etc.
  • Creates case conceptualization based on appropriate diagnosis and best treatment standards.
  • Completes treatment plans and updates them every 6 months or as needed.
  • Completes notes and reports in a timely manner (within 72 hours of visit for notes).
  • Prepares and presents outreach presentations as requested.
  • Participates in the development of mental health programs to further the health of the community we serve as assigned.
  • Participates in community outreach projects conducted by the clinic when assigned or available.
  • Participates in weekly team meeting and other staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Responsible for maintaining licensure.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Reads, understands, and adheres to all Sacred Circle Health Care Policies and Procedures.
  • Practices and adheres to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Values Statements.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

PhD applicants: administers, interprets, and writes up brief ADHD and Neurocognitive assessments.

Minimum Requirements Education
  • Master’s or PhD in a mental health field.
License
  • Current Utah license in good standing.
  • CPR certified.
Other
  • Ability to work full-time.
  • Proficiency in electronic record keeping and utility of electronic resources.
  • Ability to maintain proper documentation.
Preferred Requirements Experience
  • Two (2) or more years of clinical experience.
Other
  • Experience working with the Native American community.

  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance.
  • Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, ethnicity, and cultures and their history and origins.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customers and personal services.
  • Skills in interpersonal and group communication.
  • Skills in interviewing and assessment.
  • Ability to translate assessment information into a treatment plan.
  • Ability to work with a culturally diverse patient population and community.
  • Ability to manage stress and crisis situations.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and in-house clinical guidelines.
  • Ability to adhere to timely record documentation schedule.
