Cone Health, a not-for-profit health care network serving the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina, is seeking a Full Time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care to surgical, obstetric, and procedural patients across a variety of specialties, working closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, proceduralists, and perioperative teams.
You will perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments, develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans, administer all forms of anesthesia, manage patients throughout intraoperative and postoperative phases, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition to ensure optimal outcomes.
As a CRNA at Cone Health, you will utilize advanced clinical judgment to select and administer appropriate anesthetic agents, airway management techniques, and monitoring modalities. You will insert and manage invasive lines as appropriate, provide regional and neuraxial anesthesia, and ensure accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record. You will participate in call coverage as assigned, support rapid response or code situations when needed, and collaborate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols that promote patient safety, quality, and efficiency.
Cone Health fosters a collaborative and compassionate culture centered around patient care quality, diversity, and inclusivity, and you will be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team that values open communication and mutual respect. You will provide education and guidance to patients and families about anesthesia procedures, risks, and postoperative expectations, and may also precept students or new CRNAs, contributing to a supportive learning environment.
Participation in quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice projects, and ongoing professional development is encouraged and supported.
Ideal candidates will bring strong clinical skills in anesthesia care, excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to remain calm and effective in high-acuity, fast-paced settings. Attention to detail, commitment to patient safety, and adherence to regulatory and professional standards are essential. Cone Health offers a dynamic healthcare environment with opportunities for professional growth, exposure to innovative medical practices, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the health of the community we serve.
