Medical Assistant

Sacred Circle seeks a Medical Assistant to support our community health programs serving Indigenous and underserved communities. In this role, you will room patients, obtain vital signs and histories, assist providers with exams, vaccinations, and basic procedures, and perform specimen collection and point-of-care tests. You will manage EHR documentation, scheduling, and referrals while maintaining clean, well-stocked exam rooms. The Medical Assistant helps deliver culturally responsive, trauma-informed care in a mission-driven, team-based environment focused on respect, collaboration, and social impact.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain and document vital signs and medical histories
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and vaccinations
• Perform basic lab tasks, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and patient records
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals
• Ensure exam rooms and equipment are clean, stocked, and compliant with infection-control standards
• Support patient education on health instructions and follow-up care
• Uphold HIPAA, safety, and organizational policies
• Contribute to culturally responsive care for Indigenous and underserved communities
