- Provide, manage, and plan direct physical therapy healthcare for a specified patient population
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment
- Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques
- Motivate patients during treatment to help them function optimally
- Consult and practice with other health professionals
- Direct and coordinate patient physical therapy treatment activities
- Supervise physical therapy assistants and aides
- Maintain accurate patient records of patient history and therapy treatment activities
- Keep abreast of advancements in physical therapy
- Comply with applicable state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and procedures
- Participate in professional development activities
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Follow Sacred Circle Healthcare policies and procedures, Code of Conduct, and Mission and Values Statements
- Report to the Physical Therapy Director
- Work 3-4 days per week, Monday through Friday, typically 30-40 hours per week
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Valid Utah Physical Therapy License
- Interest in working with underserved and tribal populations in an interdisciplinary setting
- Well-rounded clinical skills with ability to handle all ages and a full range of diagnoses
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of care
- Knowledge of pain neuroscience education (PNE)
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements
- Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems, and objectives
- Skills in critical thinking and reasoning that values patient education
- Ability to handle all ages and a full range of diagnoses
- Ability to use computer systems and applications
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
- Ability to plan and organize
- Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures
- Ability to operate office equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients/clients, clinical and administrative staff in a multidisciplinary environment
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies and procedures
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Two (2) or more years of physical therapy related experience (preferred)
- Experience/familiarity with pain neuroscience education (PNE) (preferred)
- Interest in persistent/chronic pain (preferred)
- Experience working with the Native American community (preferred)
Demonstrates expertise in providing patient-centered physical therapy care, including evaluations, treatment planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and a valid Utah Physical Therapy License, with a strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in healthcare.
