Description:

Position Overview:We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Scrub Technician to join our dynamic surgical team. The Scrub Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures by assisting surgeons and nurses during surgeries, and maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room.
Key Performance Indicators:- Prepare and organize, OR room, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies before each procedure.
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons and nurses during surgeries by providing the necessary instruments and supplies in a timely manner.
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols to minimize the risk of surgical site infections.
- Assist with patient positioning and prepping, as well as draping the surgical area.
- Collaborate closely with surgical team members to ensure efficient and safe patient care throughout procedures.
- Assist with the cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments, equipment, and OR rooms.
Experience, Training, and Qualifications needed to perform the job:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in healthcare.
- Due to the training and onboarding required for this position, candidates should be prepared to make a minimum two-year commitment.
- Ability to type at least 30 words per minute.
In addition to the specific duties listed above, the Employee is required to do the following:
- Any tasks, projects, or actions that are reasonably within the scope of the Employee’s position or employment, which the Employee’s supervisor, any member of BMH’s management, or BMH’s administration team—asks of the Employee. Tasks, projects, or actions are “reasonably within the scope” of the Employee’s employment or position unless the same are so far removed therefrom that no legitimate argument can be made that such tasks, projects, or actions are in any way related to BMH or the Employee’s employment or position within BMH.
- Act as professionally as should normally be required in a medical organization. This shall include giving all appropriate respect and deference to licensed medical providers and behavioral health providers (hereafter jointly referred to as “Providers”). Providers include, but may not be limited to physician assistants, nurse practitioners (or similar), and Physician Assistants.
