The Ski Concierge Team is responsible for providing an exceptional at-the-mountain, world-class ski experience for The Lodge at Blue Sky’s guests. All aspects of transportation, storage of ski equipment, and concierge recommendations for experiencing the best ski opportunities Park City offers will fall to this important team. The Ski Concierge Team is anchored at the Silver Star off-site Lodge, and will provide Blue Sky’s guests with the benefit of extensive knowledge of gear, local interest and tips, all while extending Auberge’s unmatched luxury guest service before and after their adventure on the mountain.
The Ski Concierge Team will maintain the Activities Lounge and provide anticipatory guest service, always striving to go above and beyond expectations.
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done! Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team‑mates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
- Providing exceptional guest service to The Lodge at Blue Sky’s guests for their adventures at the Park City Ski area by sharing experience of local offerings and assisting guests with their needs as indicated.
- Conducting and logging miles and maintenance of any Blue Sky Vehicles or supplies.
- Budgetary adherence, organized ordering, and responsible use of Blue Sky resources for any materials needed in the Operation of the Activities Lodge.
- Continuous maintenance and cleaning of the lounge and any vehicles used.
- Inspect, deliver, fit, and tune guests’ ski and snowboard equipment as necessary.
- Valet parking in-house guest vehicles.
- Handling guest luggage upon arrival and departure.
- Delivering messages from the front desk or spa to guests.
- Tracking guest movement and communicating with housekeeping, front desk, and restaurant.
- Coordinating transportation requirements for arrivals, departures, and drives back to the Lodge at Blue Sky throughout the day.
- Learning the names, preferences, and planned activities of the guests to anticipate upcoming needs.
- Assisting with daily maintenance and cleaning of Activity Lodge.
- Accurate logging and careful transportation of guests and their property.
- Simple amenities and food/beverage preparation and service.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- A genuine affinity for interacting meaningfully and positively with Lodge teammates and Guests.
- Extensive knowledge of local ski areas, including lifts, runs, and amenities offered.
- Experience working in Guest Service in a luxury hotel environment.
- Familiarity with proper fit and function of ski and snowboard gear, and the ability to assist with tuning as necessary.
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with colleagues and management to their understanding.
- Self‑confidence and leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently between staff and guests.
- Must be able to lift equipment and/or luggage in excess of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to run short distances.
- Critical thinking and multi‑tasking skills.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure and display comfort in a fast‑paced environment.
- Must have a valid United States driver’s license.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Clean driving record free of major offenses and/or multiple minor offenses.
- Clear criminal record.
- Willing to work flexible hours of morning, evening, holidays and weekends.
Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities:
- Reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing. Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to inspecting the property.
- The constant need to perform the following physical activities: grasping, turning, finger dexterity.
- Occasional need to stand for long periods of time.
- Lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs. frequently and 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Vision requirements: the constant need to view small print. Frequent need to see small details and things clearly beyond arms’ reach.
- Hearing requirements: the constant need to speak on the telephone and/or two‑way radio.
