Front Desk Supervisor
Location: Cliff Lodge, Snowbird Resort (Salt Lake City, Utah)
Status: Full-time, Year‑round
Schedule: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm – you must be available to work both shifts on any day, including weekends and holidays.
SummaryAs the full‑time, year‑round Frncl Desk Supervisor at Cliff Lodge, you will supervise staff, coordinate with other departments, and ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Oversee overall operation of the Front Desk.
- Plan, direct, organize, and coordinate work‑time behaviors of others.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of other department heads.
- Perform front desk tasks as needed.
- Communicate with management and other departments.
- Keep staff informed of rules and procedures.
- Resolve guest or owner situations, including disputes over credit billings and payments.
- Review staff folios to ensure correct charges.
- Review room blocking and tape chart to ensure maximum occupancy.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies.
- Check in guests efficiently and courteously.
- Check guests out, assess satisfaction, and present bills.
- Log the shift into the after‑hours reservation line and book reservations.
- Coordinate accounting and billing needs with other departments.
- Answer telephones, receive guest requests, and route to the correct department.
- Work in a fast‑paced environment, multitask, and maintain attention to detail.
- Utilize computer systems such as SMS Host, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Continuously train front desk staff.
- High School Diploma.
- Age 18 or older.
- Competency in reading, writing, and interpersonal communication.
- Six months of training in the hospitality industry.
- One year of hotel/hospitality work experience or six months of front desk experience with demonstrated competence.
- One year of supervisory experience.
- Experience with Word, Outlook, and SMS Host preferred.
Work is routine in a pleasant, comfortable lodge setting. You may need to stay overnight on occasion during road closures and will work in winter conditions. Continuous public interaction and commuting may create stress; you must be able to stand for long periods and remain attentive to guests and staff.
